It's vacation time!

So later this week, me, Cora, and a friend of mine will be taking a road trip to Florida. I would've loved for Joel to come and I know he really wants to but he's starting a new job and won't be able to go on vacation for a while. So I figured before it gets too hot down in Florida, I'd go visit my Grandma who happens to live very close to the emerald coast. We were planning on driving and I didn't want to drive down by myself with a baby for 16 hours so one of my good friends said she would come with! Yay! I'm getting pretty excited, not so much about driving forever with a baby who has to be doing something constantly or she'll start screaming. And I mean screaming, not because she's upset really but because she has found her voice and likes to use it.

Next to dreading the drive, I'm worried about forgetting something important, like diapers or the purple elephant. So I'll be spending the next few days making sure I have a list of everything I need and ready to go on Friday.

The Purple Elephant is one of her favorite toys. She likes to chew on the trunk.

I HAVE to get some more of these. All I have to do is squirt em in her mouth! Makes for easy feeding when driving.

And of coarse, we can't go to the beach without a hat, swimsuit, glasses!

Save the tatas!

So the Relay for Life is this weekend and I was in charge of decorating the bra. Yes! It sounded like a fun task to take on, so I did it. Our team theme was Hawaiian, so I decided on the two fish kissing. It seemed cute and fit the theme. (Make sure to show up or donate for cancer research!!) For the last two days this is what I've been working on:

Coffee Outing

Even though we have a young baby doesn't mean we have to change everything about the way we lived before. I love to just go out to look and walk around then stop for a cup of coffee. One of my favorite places to do this is the plaza. And we take Cora almost everywhere we go, especially these coffee outings. We just can't do it at 8 or 10 at night. More like 2 or 3 in the afternoon worked around naptimes and feedings. I'm a people watcher, Joel just doesn't understand that about me, and Cora loves it just as much as I do. In fact, if she is fussy, we'll just go for a walk outside or the backyard and she calms down. I guess she just likes looking at anything other than the same-old.

When we went out for First Fridays, the art galleries open up in the Crossroads downtown KC, there was a zombie apocalypse (zombie walk). Zombies were getting in her face (I could've punched them  if they made her cry), but she was just smiling and laughing at them. Good to know if zombies really do attack. Anywho, my point was, we do our usual things even with Cora and she enjoys it just as much as we do.

I tries something new this time, an iced passion berry tea latte. Pretty good. Joel isn't a coffee drinker so he always gets hot cocoa, winter or not.
